The Mantalongon NHS-ICT Department, Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Cebu has Computer Technology classes from First Year to Fourth Year Level. On the part of the First year level, it has two sessions: one in the morning; and one in the afternoon. Students from both sessions should travel from Campakas Annex campus to the Computer Laboratory in the main campus which is 600 meters or more for its distance to do their lecture and hands-on activities during school days.

Brief History of Mantalongon National High School, Dalaguete, Cebu

The Mantalongon National High School is located 13 kilometers west of the town of Dalaguete which is 84 kilometers southeast of Cebu City.

        In its begininning, the school was only an extension high school of Dalaguete Provincial High School in 1966. It was housed in the Mantalongon Elementary School using 2 classrooms for the first and second year students.

        Now, the school has a principal, Mr. Ramon M. Cortes with 37 teachers; 3 of them are locally funded facilitators to guide the 1,223 students enrolled in the school year 2011-2012.

        The school guidance counselor is Mrs. Lilian Carin; Mr. Lito Pelomino, as school property custodian ;Mr. George P. Lumayag, as ICT Coordinator. He has also developed the school ICT Department website: www.mantalongonnhsict.weebly.com.

        The school has 25 academic classrooms, a library and science laboratory at the municipal buildings, and a computer lab at the 2 storey DepEd building. It has also a cultural stage with a quadrangle, CAT office, canteen, faucet drinking corner, stockroom, composed hip segregation corner, and toilets for boys and girls.

It's a burden on their part travelling from one campus to the other. Crossing the barangay and national roads is so hazardous for students.

Being a concerned individual, would you agree if those students shall be housed in the Main campus?
